ANNA + KATIE • STYLISH SENIOR SESSION
Senior portrait sessions are starting to pick up…
…and in the process of scheduling them, I’ve almost forgotten the fact that I’m graduating in a few weeks, myself!
For most of us soon-to-be college graduates, commencement is only weeks away. While that upcoming milestone is certainly exciting, a lot of us are still trying to process the full reality of that fact.
We’ve worked years for this, and it’s actually almost here.
All of those long nights of writing research papers, studying for exams, and responding to never-ending Discussion Board posts on Blackboard are coming to an end.
For all of us, there were plenty of moments of wanting to throw in the towel.
Whether it was the exhaustion, the lack of inspiration, or the classes that pushed us to our limits, it hasn’t always been easy.
Our talents, understanding, and patience have all been tested. We’ve doubted ourselves in moments…
…but here we are. We’re much stronger than we originally thought, and soon, we will have made it through victorious.
Working with Anna and Katie for their senior portraits was not only a lot of fun, but also comforting in a creative sense. Since we’re all in such similar places in our lives, I felt like I was very easily able to connect with how they were feeling.
Anna is about to graduate from Western Kentucky University, and Katie is actually a fellow Lindsey student, so we’ll both be walking across the same stage on May 11th!
It was inspiring to lose myself in this session at Homeplace with them, and I think they felt the same. In some ways, it felt like the calm before the storm.
The timeless beauty of Homeplace set the stage for our session to have an almost “editorial fashion,” vibe, and of course, Anna and Katie were effortless in front of the camera.
I hope you all enjoy my personal favorites from this beautiful session!
Anna and Katie,
Working with you two was so natural!!! I know you’re going to do amazing things in this world. Congratulations on this major accomplishment, and thank you for asking me to be the one to document the celebration!
