INTRODUCING THE NEW BIRTH COLLECTIONS
Introducing: Kentucky Songbird Photography Birth Collections
Welcome to the world, Lexi Nichole Withers.
If you’re a devout reader of the blog, you’ve heard me say this before…having the privilege of working with a family on numerous occasions is one of the greatest honors I’ve personally experienced as a photographer.
I feel as though I’m growing and learning with you all each time I get to do so.
I’m not related to you through blood…yet, you still ask me to be the one there to capture moments like the one you see above.
It goes without saying that I take what I do very seriously, and I get really emotional when I’m reminded of the deeper importance of this “job.”
It’s easy to get lost in the maze of pretty images you see on Facebook and Instagram. Pretty poses…pretty locations…pretty outfits…pretty props…
But sessions like these allow me to forget the pressure of being on some kind of “trend.”
These sessions are raw, unapologetically honest, and…for lack of a better term: real.
No two births are going to be just alike; each is incredibly unique is in its own way. Timelines can change dramatically, and no moment can go unnoticed. Anything could happen.
Maybe that’s the thrill I feel about birth photography…knowing that magic is around the corner, and you have to be ready for it at any given moment.
While I’ve shot several in-hospital sessions from the very beginning of Kentucky Songbird Photography, this is the first year I’ve gotten inquiries about birth sessions! It’s somewhat of a new concept in the photography industry (especially in this area of Kentucky), but nevertheless, it’s a growing one.
With that being said, I want to formally introduce to you all the Birth Collections that are now available with Kentucky Songbird Photography:
Now…without further ado, here are my favorite images celebrating Lexi Nichole Withers’ arrival.
What a precious honor this was…
If you’re interested in documenting your birth, feel free to send me an email to chat about the Collections and/or to discuss with any questions you may have!
See you all next time!
