The need-to-know: Frequently Asked Questions
Hey, friend! Skyler here! I wanted to offer a FAQ page to our site so that your possible questions may already be covered. However, if they’re not, feel free to send a message to us through our Contact page!
How quick is your turn around time?
I will typically always return galleries within 2-5 days, max (different collections require different amounts of time)! The only time(s) this isn’t the case is during my college midterms and finals weeks (I only have one more semester left of college, though), and during prom season! During those times, turn around time is roughly one week!
Do you offer newborn photography?
I’m currently not offering newborn photography in the studio, but this may not be the case forever. I really want to gather more experience with newborns in the studio before I ever offer official collections specifically for that again! However, I do still offer in-hospital sessions during the first 48 hours after birth! (You can see sample photos of this in the portfolio under Family + Maternity.)
Do you still offer studio photography?
Yes! People typically ask for their sessions to be outdoors, but I do take studio sessions per special request. If you’re interested in a studio shoot, we would apply the same collection rates that you see on the Portraiture Collections page!
How far do you travel?
We (Cam, my handy assistant and I) LOVE to travel! For weddings, we will travel as far as 70 miles without any travel fees, and for all other sessions, we will travel as far as 40 miles without any travel fees! However, we are definitely willing to shoot at destination locations—just contact us for specialized pricing!
What if I need to reschedule?
I totally understand that sometimes, things just happen (someone gets really sick, an unexpected emergency arises, etc.). For that reason, I do offer the opportunity to reschedule once without any extra charge. (Exception: if severe weather prevents us from having our scheduled shoot, that’s not your fault—so that one’s on us!)
Do I have to sign a contract or pay a deposit?
Yes; I now ask that you pay a 30% non-refundable retainer fee of your total collection price before I officially book your session, and we also ask that you e-sign our contract! I promise, the process is super simple—when you’re ready to book, I’ll guide you through it all!
